A) Check for fuel and make sure the fuel valve (applicable only to gasoline-powered engines) is open;
B) Check that the red plastic key (battery switch) is set to "1".
C) Ensure that the red indicator light next to the ignition key is on.
D) Verify that the two red emergency buttons are set to "1".
