There is no "better" penetrometer in an absolute sense: the choice depends on the tests to be performed, the types of soil, and the site conditions.
Indicatively:
- DPM 30: dynamic tests in sites inaccessible to traditional self-propelled penetrometers, with maximum portability;
- TG 63-100: dynamic or static-dynamic tests with maximum compactness (100 kN thrust);
- TG 63-150 / TG 63-200: the best balance between static performance (up to 200 kN) and transportability;
- TG 73-200: the flagship model, with automatic telescopic anchoring and extraction up to 250 kN, suitable for intensive use and particularly challenging soils.
