The penetrometers manufactured by Pagani Geotechnical Equipment are distinguished, thanks to the advanced construction techniques employed, by the following peculiar features:
- full utilization of the energy generated by the hammer drop;
- no load on the rods during idle phases, therefore the advancement is determined exclusively by the energy transmitted by the hammer drop for dynamic tests and by the thrust for static tests;
- perfectly vertical rod penetration, without any bending;
- extraction along the entire length of the rod;
- immediate installation;
- automatic anchoring for the TG 73 series and semi-automatic for the TG 63 series;
- modularity of the test accessories.
Pagani penetrometers are available both in the dynamic version, which allows the execution of continuous dynamic tests in accordance with the most authoritative international standards, and in the static version for the execution of static tests (CPT, CPTu, and S-CPTu). Furthermore, Pagani is the only company to produce combined static-dynamic penetrometers, which allow all types of tests to be performed with a single piece of equipment, significantly reducing costs and enabling the operator to acquire data along verticals consisting of soils with different mechanical characteristics, ranging from very soft to extremely hard and compact.
The TG 63 and TG 73 series, unlike the DPM model, are self-propelled, thus eliminating the issues related to transporting the machine within the construction site. Thanks to the tracked carriage, these machines are able to easily reach even the most difficult areas and to autonomously get on and off the transport vehicle.
These solutions allow a single operator to carry out penetrometric tests even in particularly challenging contexts and conditions, ensuring the achievement of the set objectives with a significant reduction in costs and time.
