The Data cable, also known as the "yellow cable," used in CPTu and S-CPTu tests to connect the piezocone to the data-logger, should not be repaired if it suffers damage such as excessive pulling or abrasions that compromise its proper functioning. Such an intervention carries the risk of further internal deformation, making it impossible to guarantee optimal restoration. Therefore, replacement of the damaged cable is recommended.
