The conditions that limit the depth achievable during a static test are the following:
a) presence of coarse soil layers (overcome with Pagani machines in "static/dynamic" configuration).
b) presence of rocky layers.
c) tip resistance value higher than the limit detectable by the piezocone.
d) high friction value, reducible by using Pagani friction reducers.
In the absence of such limiting factors, Pagani machines are normally able to reach depths greater than those required by the market.
