The TG 73-200 is the flagship penetrometer from Pagani Geotechnical Equipment, standing out within the range for its exceptional robustness and reliability. Introduced in 2001 as an evolution of the previous model, it was developed in response to the needs expressed by clients working on the most demanding construction sites and, over more than twenty years, has established itself as a benchmark in the penetrometer sector.
Its distinctive feature is the automatic and telescopic anchoring system installed on the mast, which qualifies the TG 73-200 as the ideal instrument for both static and dynamic penetrometric tests: it secures the machine in a few intuitive steps, reduces driving stresses on the frame, and shortens testing times, also thanks to the possibility of simultaneous driving of rods and casing tubes.
The device is built on a self-propelled tracked chassis with hydraulic drive, allowing it to operate easily even on marshy or uneven terrain. It can be positioned on very steep slopes: the three stabilizers and the mast inclination ensure the perfect verticality necessary for driving the rods. Particularly suitable for large construction sites, it maintains a high level of maneuverability in line with the rest of the range and can be operated by a single operator.
Main features
- Maximum thrust capacity: 200 kN; maximum extraction capacity: 250 kN
- 22.4 kW diesel engine
- High energy efficiency: about 78% of the energy is transmitted to the rods
- Automatic telescopic anchoring on the mast
Versions and tests performable
The penetrometer is available in two variants — static and static-dynamic — which allow the execution of all types of CPT and DP tests: static tests with Begemann cone (CPT) or piezocone (CPTu), which can be enhanced with the seismic module (S-CPTu), and dynamic tests with Super Heavy (DPSH), Heavy (DPH), or Medium (DPM) hammer systems. The rotary head enables overcoming even the hardest soils; samplers are also available for collecting samples to be analyzed in the laboratory.
